Moritz von Rochow is a PostDoc at Walther-Schücking-Institute for International Law at Kiel University and accredited specialist attorney for Administrative Law in Kiel (Germany). In 2024, he served as Visiting Professor for Public Law at Justus Liebig University Giessen. He studied law in Kiel, Wrocław and Berlin, specialising in Public International and European law. He also worked as a student assistant at Georg Nolte's Chair of International Law and as a Liaison Officer for the German Navy in the Horn of Africa. He worked as a research assistant at Bucerius Law School (Hamburg), where he has also obtained his doctorate in international law. As attorney he has represented numerous public agencies and institutions as well as private companies at administrative, regional and constitutional courts. His current academic research activities focus on International and European Environmental Law, Democracy Theory and the International Law of the Sea.
